Pentti Sarpaneva Oversized Bronze and Pyrite "Tree" Ring
Pentti Sarpaneva, 1970's
The radiating relief design of this ring is reminiscent of a split log with a large natural cut pyrite stone at its center. The intricate pattern is asymmetrical and highly detailed which is a common theme in Sarpaneva's work.
Finnish jewelry designer Pentti Sarpaneva, brother of renown designer Timo Sarpaneva, created his pieces primarily through the lost wax method of jewelry making and was inspired by nature as well as Finnish tradition.
Bronze and pyrite, excellent unworn condition, P.Sarpaneva and Finland hallmarks, 1.5" across, adjustable size.
