At Welsh Elliott Modernism our goal is to simplify the task of separating out the collectable investment jewelry from the rest of the vintage jewelry market. The condition criteria of antiques auctions and vintage dealers aren’t standardized and are often subjective. We strive to keep the standards of our inventory high and give our customers accurate information.

Excellent unworn condition- Vintage items that are “new old stock” and have never been worn. Often you will see unworn vintage jewelry on Welsh Elliott Modernism because we strive to find these pieces for our customers. 

Excellent condition- Vintage items that have been gently worn. Only on very close examination do they show signs of normal wear.

Very good condition- Items that show signs of wear that do not affect the appearance of the pieces. This is unavoidable with most vintage jewelry.

Good condition- Rarely will you see these items on Welsh Elliott Modernism. These are pieces that have a slight but noticeable flaw. We only sell these items if we feel the defect does not effect its quality and if it adds to the history of a piece. The flaw will be clearly noted.

All international orders are shipped via the United States Postal Service and all domestic orders are shipped by UPS on business days excluding holidays. Signature upon delivery required, no exceptions. Most orders are processed in 1-2 business days. We are unable to ship to PO Box and military addresses. Welsh Elliott Modernism is not responsible for delays in shipping or delivery due to force of nature or other uncontrollable events.

Welsh Elliott Modernism uses recycled and renewable materials whenever possible. Our shipping boxes and tissue paper are made from 100% post consumer recycled material and jewelry boxes are 80%.


Please read the condition terms carefully before making a purchase. If you are not completely satisfied with your unworn purchase, you can send it back to us for a refund. Please contact us at for a return code. Returns must be postmarked within 15 days of the original ship date and should be sent prepaid. We will not accept CODs. We recommend that packages be returned via traceable carrier and insured for the full amount of the merchandise. We are not responsible for missing packages. After we receive the return your credit card will be refunded for the full price of the merchandise and you will receive a confirmation by email. Shipping costs will only be refunded when the return is a result of our error. We have the right to deny credit if the merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements, has been damaged, worn, or the security tag has been removed.
